Connection Tiemout
nPerf Server needs the following ports to work properly:
- 80
- 8080 (or 8081 if already used)
- 443 (or 8443 if already used)
Make sure all the above ports are open within your firewall.
Connection Refused (HTTP)
Connection refused means that the port is open but nothing is listening on it.
Make sure nPerfServer is running and port 80 is redirected correctly (or another HTTP web server is running on port 80).
Connection Refused (nPerfServer) - Port 443
Connection refused means that the port is open but nothing is listening on it.
Make sure nPerfServer daemon is running and internal port redirection 443->8443 is made correctly.
Connection Refused (nPerfServer)
Connection refused means that the port is open but nothing is listening on it.
Make sure nPerfServer daemon is running.
TLS Handshake Failure
There was an issue while performing TLS handshake on remote port.
This is usually happen when software is listening on that port without TLS enabled. Make sure TLS is enabled or an other service running on that port instead of the expected one.
HTTPS Redirect
While this is a recommended setting to ensure better compatibility with enterprise firewalls, redirecting port 443 to port 8443 is not a fatal error. If you really do not want to do it or you already have somthing listening on port 443 you can just ignore this warning.
Wrong App
This error means that the port is open, something is listening on it but it is not the nPerf Server.
Make sure you did not choose to use an alternate port (e.g. 8081) during nPerf Server installation. If this is the case put this port number in nPerf Server Port input in the form on the left side of this website and re-run the test.
404 Not Found

- upload.php
- latency.txt
Please follow Optional Step: Using an external HTTP Server to install these files.
